Lets Make a GIF

Chicago aka The Windy City is one the most exciting cities in the world. From the skyscrapers to the historic landmarks, people all over the world come to Chicago. Chicago has plenty of things to offer especially when it comes to food. One of my favorite Italian restaurants is Maggianos. During the summer months, there are different festivals held in Grant Park. One of the largest festivals in the world, called Lollapalooza is held in Grant Park every year. This year I had the pleasure of being able to attend and work behind the scenes of the festival. There are also different museums for the families to enjoy, my favorite on is the Museum of Science and Industry. For a day of underwater adventures, you can make your way to the Shedd Aquarium. The list of things to do in Chicago is endless. These are just a few of favorite places to go in my free time.

What can I say there's no summer like summertime Chi. People are enjoying themselves on the River Walk.

Grant Park is a Chicago favorite.  The Buckingham fountain is in the heart of the park. It looks even more spectacular at night.

Lollapalooza is the event of the summer. People from all over the world come to Chicago and enjoy over 150 performances from their favorite artists.

The Museum of Science and Industry was a great place to take the kids. There are hundreds of exhibits to explore. The best way to teach the future innovators of tomorrow is to allow them to explore.

If you want to enjoy a day of underwater exploration the Shedd Aquarium is the place to be.

WEEK 5 - QUIZ ASSIGNMENT #2 - EMBEDDED GIFS

Down Goes Rodgers!!!

Football season is finally among us, and all I have to say is its going to be some sad fans this year, especially if you love Aaron Rodgers. Its looks like the newly traded QB injured his Achilles heel during the Jets season opening game. Some people may say he deserves his for leaving his beloved Green Bay Packers. Rodgers has taken to Instagram to reassure all his fans that surgery went well and he's on the road to recovery. Let's hope he can make a full comeback and lead the Jets to victory this season.

Week 5 - QUIZ ASSIGNMENT #1 EMBEDDED PHOTOS

Monument of Faith Evangelist Church was founded by the late Dr. Richard D. Henton in 1964, on the south side of Chicago. The address of this church was 6848 S. Racine Avenue. As the congregation grew, so did the location of the church. In the 1970's Apostle Henton moved Monument of Faith from 68th and Racine, to 74th and Chappel. In 1998, Monument had its last and final move to 2750 W. Columbus Avenue, where it's still standing. The reason why this landmark means so much to me is because this is the church, I grew up in. Every Sunday for as long as I can remember we were there from 11am Sunday school, until after the 7pm broadcast service ended. Some of my fondest memories were made here. After the passing of Apostle Henton in 2015, I've only been back to the church twice. It still doesn't seem real that Pastor Henton is gone but his legacy lives on.

Daniel Hale Williams Elementary School was the first everything to me. This was the very first Chicago Public School I attended. I met my very first best friend at this school, and it was the place I decided to become a cheerleader for the first time. Built in 1950, Daniel Hale Williams was one of the first schools to open during the great Migration. In 2002 due to poor test scores, the Board of Education decided to close the school. After a year of the school being closed the BOA reopened the school to what's now known as Drake.

Last and most certainly not least George Washington Park, located on Garfield Boulevard. Growing up Washington Park was one of my favorite parks to go to. Designed in 1868 and renamed after George Washington in 1881, the park has been a southside hotspot for as long as I can remember. Between the pool and the Outside parties, Washington Park was my way of escape in the summer. During the summer months, there are different festivals held in the park. One festival that's held there yearly is the African Caribbean festival. Washington Park will always hold a special place in my heart.

Autobiography part 2

My name is Inez, but I like Nez for short. I was born on May 13th, 1990 at Mercy Hospital on the southside of Chicago. I lived in the Harold Ickes homes until I was 13. Growing up I attended D.H.Williams Elementary School and National Teachers Academy. From the ages of 10-13, I spent every Tuesday and Saturday at Sammy Dyer School of the Theatre, where I was able to learn theatrical dancing, such as jazz, tap, ballet and acrobatics.

After leaving the South Loop Area, we moved to Roseland for my Highschool years. In the fall of 2004, I attended Emil G. Hirsch High School.  While at Hirsh, I learned the basic skills for TV and radio broadcast, and other forms of media communications. In the fall of 2008, I was a freshman at Morgan State University. At MSU, I met some of the most interesting people, that I am still friends with to this day. I almost pledged into the Delta Sigma Theta sorority.

I am currently a student at Kennedy King College in Chicago, where I am continuing my education in Media Communication. I am looking forward to graduating Spring 2024.

This was at my cousin's 30th birthday party. I think I was over dressed for the party. What can I say, she said put on a dress and I followed suit.

Official NFL Shield Logo (NFL Website)

It's almost that time of the year again; Football Season. The 2023-24 season kicks off on Thursday September 7th, 2023. Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights are about to get really serious for the football fans around the world. The NFL was founded on September 17, 1920, in Canton, Ohio formerly known as the APFA (American Professional Football Association).  The NFL consists of 32 teams throughout the nation, playing each other to claim the title of being Superbowl Champs.

Last year's reigning Super Bowl Champions are the Kansas City Chiefs. Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes led the team to an overwhelming victory against the Philadelphia Eagles.

This season I'm looking forward to the seeing the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins play.

I plan to work as a producer for WGCI after graduation, or at least have an internship for that station. In my spare time I love to read, listen to music and travel. Houston is one of my favorite cities to visit. I love the atmosphere, the food, and the weather. I plan to travel more often after I graduate next year. France is one of my dream places to visit, experience the culture, food, and fashion. Chris Brown is my favorite male R&B artist. I have a dream of meeting him one day.
