Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs has been a staple of the Wrigleyville community for over 100 years. Built in 1914, Wrigley field was first named Weeghman Park (1914-1920). Wrigley Field was designed by architect brothers Zachary Taylor Davis and Charles G. Davis. Wrigley Field is the second oldest baseball field in the United States, following Fenway Park Home of the Boston Red Sox. In 1916 the Chicago Cubs played their first game at Wrigley Field against the Cincinnati Reds, where they beat the team 7-6. In 1934, the fabulous Cubs Marquee that hangs over the entrance was added. from 1921 to1970 Wrigley Field was also the stadium for the Chicago Bears.Over the years Wrigley Field became of the most visited places in the city. Wrigleyville has become one of the most popular communities to just come and hang out. Clark Street, where Wrigley Field is located there's a number of stores and restaurants for Cubs memorabilia. In 2020, Wrigley Field was deemed a historical landmark.
